Duane Gera’s extensive 20+ years’ experience in the finance industry, coupled with his strong educational background and passion for problem-solving, has positioned him as a leading expert in creating innovative and effective finance solutions for clients. With a focus on commercial and business acquisition finance, Duane has honed his skills in a wide range of industries, allowing him to understand the key components of various businesses which sets Maine Finance apart from competitors.

Education and Early Career

Duane holds an Honours degree in Commerce specialising in Corporate Finance, Accounting, and Economics from the University of Manitoba. He started his career in Australia as a stockbroker for Hartley Poynton in Adelaide before transitioning to Commercial and Corporate Banking. During his tenure in the banking sector, Duane held several senior roles, including State Manager of the Commercial Broking Network in Western Australia. That experience provided him with invaluable insight into the banking sector and equipped him with the ability to navigate clients through the complex banking process.

Founding Maine Finance

In 2020, Duane Gera co-founded Maine Finance with Mark Rullo to offer exceptional service and problem-solving solutions to clients across the various facets of finance.  What sets Maine finance apart is their relationship with their clients. Maine Finance prides itself on being there every step of the way through a client’s financial journey.

Duane's forward-thinking approach allows him to anticipate future client needs and requirements, ensuring that the finance solutions provided are flexible and adaptable. This focus on partnership and collaboration has driven growth for both Maine Finance and its clients, primarily through word-of-mouth and warm referrals from clients and business associates.

Personal Life and Hobbies

An avid golfer, Duane enjoys hitting the course once a week, although his ambitions to become a better golfer were tempered by the demands of running a business, however his true passion is having a coffee with his wife Camille whilst watching his boys play football on a Sunday morning.
